Hogmanay in Sils
Here are my photos from our Scottish New Year's Eve. Susan is right, it's better not to have it on YouTube, so I have removed the file from the public domain. The Google video is just as good, although this is just a preview anyway - the full size photos are on the link I sent you by e-mail. I have also found another version of the same music clip and adjusted it for a better fit.
I like the applause at the end in this version, it goes for Elaine.
Elaine observed I should have put my pics there too.
Well, I admit I didn't think of it. I just took the pics and put them together in the Picasa along with the music. And now it's too late.
But, luckily, Susan sent me some of hers, so I'll borrow two of them here for this purpose:

Quan s'arriba tard al teatre (sempre passa quan es va al Lliure), corrents des del Paral·lel per la pujada, i - ja amb les últimes forces i sense alè - per l'última escala, la visió del teatre és aquesta:
Després de la funció, quan tots els espectadors ja han marxat, la plaça queda meravellosament tranquil·la.
I, mentre esperem a l'amic que s'està canviant després de la feina, el teatre està a punt d'apagar les llums.

De tant en tant, el teatre té unes finestres més al carrer Jonqueres i - ni se n'adona!

De l'antiga comissaria a la Via Laietana només queda la façana - pel que sembla, s'hi està construint un hotel. Podran dormir tranquils els turistes a sobre de les antigues masmorres, o passaran pels seus somnis els ecos de les tortures?
